Week 1 (6/9*–6/12): It’s Summertime! 

Sizzle into summertime at St. John’s Summer Camp! How do you like to spend a hot day—splashing in the water, licking a popsicle, or relaxing in the shade? Campers will enjoy all these classic summer favorites and more as they find fun ways to stay cool.

Week 2 (6/15–6/18*) Are We There Yet? 

Get ready to roll! This week, we’re taking a trip across the USA using every kind of transportation—cars, boats, trains, and planes. How will we get from place to place? Let’s find out!

Week 3 (6/22–6/26): I Love the USA! 

Let’s celebrate our pride in being American! With red, white, and blue fun, we’ll explore fireworks, the flag, and the Statue of Liberty while learning what it means to be an American during our 4th of July celebration. 

Week 4 (7/6–7/10): Lions, Tigers, and Bears, Oh My! 

Lions, tigers, and bears—oh my! This week, we’ll explore the animal kingdom by building a zoo of our own. From parrots and penguins to hippos and zebras, campers will learn how to care for all kinds of animals. We’ll even make elephant toothpaste—after all, elephants need clean teeth too! 

Week 5 (7/13–7/17): What Happens If You Give a Camper a Book? 

Join us as we explore Laura Numeroff’s stories and bring her characters to life. Campers will see what happens when a mouse gets a cookie or a dog gets a donut—and learn that these hungry characters are always asking for more. What tasty treats will come next? 

Week 6 (7/20–7/24) We Wish You a Merry Christmas – in July! 

Celebrate the magic of Christmas in July with us for five fun-filled days! From singing carols and decorating 

Week 7 (7/27–7/31): Roaming the Rainforest 

Get ready for a rainforest adventure! With binoculars in hand, we’ll explore this vibrant world and learn how a python dances, a dart frog climbs, and a toucan talks—all while discovering what lies beneath the rainforest canopy. 

Week 8 (8/3–8/7): Look! I’m a Mad Scientist! 

 Five days of science fun await! Through experiments, inventions, and discoveries, campers will explore how science works—one exciting question at a time. 

Week 9 (8/10–8/14): What Are Kevin Henkes’ Mice Up to Now? 

 Join St. John’s Camp this week as we get to know Owen, Lilly, and Chrysanthemum a little better. Each of these beloved characters has something special—Chrysanthemum has her unique name, Owen carries his favorite blanket, and Lilly treasures her special purse. Campers will explore what makes their own names special and share the things they hold dear through fun, meaningful activities. 

Week 10 (8/17–8/21): DinoRoar 

 Get ready for a prehistoric adventure! Campers will become paleontologists as they learn about dinosaurs of all sizes, from the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex to the towering Diplodocus. 

Week 1 (6/9*–6/12): Rainforest Explorers 

Campers will journey into the rainforest to discover amazing animals, towering plants, and hidden layers of this vibrant ecosystem through hands-on science, art, and movement activities.

Week 2 (6/15–6/18*) Reptiles & Amphibians 

From frogs and turtles to snakes and lizards, campers will explore the fascinating world of reptiles and amphibians while learning about habitats, life cycles, and special adaptations.

Week 3 (6/22–6/26): Science in the Garden 

Campers will dig into the science of plants as they explore seeds, soil, growth, and pollinators through gardening, experiments, and creative outdoor activities. 

Week 4 (7/6–7/10): Aviation School 

Campers will learn how planes and helicopters fly by exploring air, motion, and forces through building challenges, experiments, and high-flying fun. 

Week 5 (7/13–7/17): Once Upon a Time: Fairy Tales & Folklore 

Classic fairy tales and folklore come to life as campers read stories, design creations, solve challenges, and use their imaginations to explore these timeless tales. 

Week 6 (7/20–7/24): Famous Inventions & Inventors 

Campers will discover how famous inventions were created and meet the inventors behind them while designing, building, and testing their own innovative ideas. 

Week 7 (7/27–7/31): Weather Watchers 

Campers will become junior meteorologists as they explore clouds, wind, rain, and extreme weather through experiments, observations, and interactive games. 

Week 8 (8/3–8/7): Kind Kids Club 

This week is all about spreading kindness! Campers will explore ways to help their community, practice empathy and teamwork, and take part in joyful random acts of kindness. 

Week 9 (8/10–8/14): Outback Explorers 

Campers will travel “down under” to learn about Australia’s unique animals, landscapes, and culture through art, science, music, and movement. 

Week 10 (8/17–8/21): Sports & Games Around the World 

Campers will explore sports and traditional games from different cultures while building teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love of movement. 

Camp Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Leadership Program (6/15–6/18, 6/22–6/26, 7/6–8/14) 

The Camp Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Leadership Program is an exciting opportunity for aspiring young leaders to build confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic camp environment. Designed for students who are eager to take on responsibility and make a positive impact, the program provides structured training and real-world application in a supportive setting. 

All participants are required to attend the first session, which serves as a foundational CIT Boot Camp. During this week, students will learn essential skills, expectations, and safety procedures, while developing communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities. This shared experience ensures that all CITs are prepared for success and ready to work as a team. 

After completing the required Boot Camp, participants may choose to enroll in a limited number of additional In the Field weeks. During these sessions, CITs will apply their training by supporting counselors, assisting with activities, and gaining hands-on leadership experience with campers. 

Participation in the CIT Leadership Program is limited to students currently enrolled at the school. 

Tasty Treats and Eats (6/22-6/26, 8/10–8/14) 

Join Tasty Treats & Eats and embark on a delicious adventure offered across two one-week sessions! Whether you’re a budding chef or simply love good food, this hands-on club is the perfect place to learn new skills, experiment with flavors, and create tasty treats. Each week features unique recipes and activities, and campers may register for one or both weeks as they explore cooking, teamwork, and creativity in a fun and engaging environment. 

Heroes & Villains (7/6–7/10) 

Every great hero has a story! In Heroes & Villains, campers will explore famous heroes and villains from literature and storytelling while discovering what makes characters brave, clever, or complex. Through creative challenges, campers will learn about the hero’s journey, design characters and worlds, and begin crafting stories of their own. Along the way, they’ll build, imagine, and collaborate as they bring epic adventures to life. 

Lego Legends (7/13–7/17) 

Build, create, and imagine at Lego Legends! Campers will design towering structures, moving machines, and creative worlds using Lego bricks and their imaginations. Through hands-on building challenges, children will explore engineering, problem-solving, and teamwork while turning big ideas into brick-by-brick creations. 

Center Stage: Drama & Theater Workshop Camp (7/20–7/24) 

Step into the spotlight and bring your creativity to life at Center Stage, an exciting drama and theater workshop designed for young performers! Whether you love acting, storytelling, or behind-the-scenes magic, this camp will help you develop confidence, teamwork, and stage skills in a fun and supportive environment.  

Game On!  (7/27–7/31)  

Step right up—it’s time for Game On! Campers will explore classic board games, card games, and exciting carnival games. Through hands-on play and creative challenges, children will study how rules shape games, experiment with probability and fairness, and discover what makes a game fun and engaging. Campers will design, test, and refine games while learning strategy, math, and teamwork—all while having a blast! 

Crazy Contraptions (8/3–8/7) 

Get ready for chain reactions and creative problem-solving at Crazy Contraptions! Inspired by the whimsical machines of Rube Goldberg, campers will design and build multi-step creations that complete simple tasks in the most complicated and entertaining ways possible. Using everyday materials, children will explore cause and effect, engineering, and physics as they test, revise, and bring their imaginative ideas to life.
